GENRAL VIEW

The temple is situated at Vithal Deva village, which is also known as Vandaniya (Chandraviragarh) in the district of Banswara. The surrounding area of the temple consisits of agricultural fields. The temple style, architectural features and an inscription engraved on a pillar clearly shows that the temple can be datable to 12th -13th century CE. The temple is built on a raised platform facing east and consists of a garbhagriha, an antarala, mandapa and open porch. The inscription carved on pillar of the mandapa describes the donation to the temple.
