Baroda is located 6 kms from Aspur, the ancient town of Vagada/ vatapadraka. The site remained very prosperous , having several good temples and other structures, but most of them have now been ravaged over time. The present icon of Rishabh devaji of Dhulewa (Kesariyaji) was brought from Baroda in the 14th century CE. At present only one temple of Shiva and a few remains of other shrines in dilapidated conditions remain on the spot. The Parsvanath Jain temple was renovated in VE 1904 (1850 CE ) .Two sculptures of VE 1359 (1302 CE)and 1364 (1307 CE) are installed in the temple. It seems tha Alauddin Khilji invaded the place and demolished its temples. There is an inscription on a black stone slab , which is fixed inside the garbhagriha of the Jaina temple attributed to Vimalanath (thirteenth).
